Install Ubuntu 9.04
Well, I had a lot of issues getting Fake Raid to work for my install, but now I it is working and I have a striped drive for the system drive in Ubuntu 9.04.

The next thing I needed was a VM solution, I support a Window 3.11 application for a living and sadly wine doesn't quite do it.
I decided on Sun (oracle's?) VirtualBox OSE. This beats VMware hands down. It has a function that works like VMfussion does on the mac, or like wine has in crossovers. This makes a great alternative to either of their products as I believe VirtualBox will allow you to run it on OS X as well as Linux and maybe even windows.

I think I've also been impressed by Boxee in a matter of moment, easy install and it looks like it has some serious promise. I'll be excited to spend some more time with it.
